Healthy Restaurants Around South Kensington You Need to Try

Posted:July 17, 2022 at 7:00 pm

London has loads of restaurants across the city catering to those on a calorie-conscious health kick, diet, or detox (as well as those in need of something coeliac-friendly, dairy-free or paleo). It’s never been so easy to eat delicious healthy nourishing food. We’ve come up with some of our favourite places in and around South Kensington to indulge in some scrumptious delights.

The Good Life Eatery

The Good Life Eatery in Chelsea is a superfood cafe aimed at showing men and women alike that eating healthy food can be tasty, fun and fashionable. With cold-pressed juices, smoothies and all-day menus, their food is exciting and modern.  If you are looking for something that tastes good and makes you feel even better, this is the place for you.

HJem

HJem is a Danish-inspired healthy eatery and coffee shop. Small, yet bustling with an overflow of customers. Stop by to taste their avocado on homemade rye or cinnamon buns, which are by far their most popular items.

The Gate

This focus on healthy eating is part of The Gate’s holistic approach to its dishes: products are sourced as sustainably – and locally – as possible, and the carefully curated menu allows the delicate and unique tastes of plant-based ingredients to sing from the plate.

Muriel’s Kitchen

Muriels’ Kitchen has three restaurants across West London but the South Kensington branch of this family business was the first. Serving up home-cooked dishes inspired by her grandmother, Charlotte and her husband Sam, put everything into ensuring diners enjoy every aspect of their family food business. They do healthy, hearty, cocktails, and cakes – nothing gets left behind.

Holy Carrot

Holy Carrot is on a mission to change how people view the vegan diet, one carrot at a time. The team care about what you consume, that’s why our dishes are gluten-free, sugar-free as well as free from preservatives and additives. Unusually for vegan destinations, the Holy Carrot also offers afternoon tea.

Farmacy

Farmacy aims to deliver exciting plant-focused dishes that tantalise with their eclectic mix of inspirations from pad Thai to garden green pesto to loaded mushroom tacos with frijoles and charred corn. This is clean eating done right, you won’t realise the food is free-from at all. The décor is just as classy and chic as the food, with hints of greens peeping out everywhere.

Juicebaby

Juicebaby is London’s leading 100% plant-based healthy grab-n-go cold-pressed juice bar and kitchen. Plant-based food doesn’t have to be boring or complicated, and that’s exactly what this spot is about. All their fresh whole foods and drinks are unprocessed, gluten-free, dairy-free and plant-based, while avoiding the use of refined sugars, additives and preservatives!
